i hadnt visited the place,
and it came to my mind,
at a very right time,
just when there was more need
than want
so i put my shoes and
kept on walking down the memory lane,
before i finished walking upto it
i climbed the little steps up,
before the drowning sun,
was taking its traces from the shimmery water surface,
and had turned biased orange and red,
i took a breath,
a little longer than usual.
i stood now still filling my eyes and mind,
with dust of roadway, water of the canal, the orange sky, the green trees.
Its Bhakra canal,
a simple and common place.
then i sat simply, at a spot,
and thought nothing,
there were small ripples over the tensed water,
brought by now and then swimming and flying ducks,
they were too involved in thier own,
and no one noticed me here,
as i put off slippers to slip into these wavy winds, blowing now,
l learnt my pocket vibrate,
it was whatsapp or facebook may be,
but i bothered, not more than a second,
here was life out of the screen and into the scene,
then now i clicked myself a photograph,
so that this memory fades slowly,
and because the camera gave up in the dim light for one more,
i started at thoughts again,
Muskaan was allready near the bitumen road,
i hopped downwards and joined her,
and waved my hand to a waving branch who i suspect was waving at me.
