A little time remained
before the end of time came.
Far from the gloomy people
You and I sat by the bonefire.
A last one hour to be spent
in each other's exclusive presence.
Sticks and frivolous crumbling
wood became ashes.
Fire had been engulfing its
supporter and creator.
Somewhere far enough,
the world too was crumbling to sawdust.
And the league of destruction
was heading towards us too,
to take back the exquisite spared time.
We were numb by senses,
as we sat facing each other.
A whole life had passed,
when this time, we again met.
I couldn't even remember,
who were you, but I knew you.
Just as you knew me,
But we both knew, what time it was.
Flames disturbed the shape of your face,
and the colour too, even the tears.
No matter what, the tongue
could never gather courage to speak,
let alone saying, what was in heart.
I was only able to gaze
a still, calm, uninterrupted gaze.
A once before the last time.
For a moment, the time did stop,
locked down were the rivers of time.
In line when our eyes fell,
our souls touched with cold fingers.
A touch demeaning worldly existence,
A feeling only for the souls.
Then in last five minutes,
I too got up and clutched you tight.
As soon as you got up
and embraced me.
The fire burnt on the remains
of the brave wood.
And we danced loose,
to the song of approaching end.
A feeling of let all go off from body,
into the free universe.
Holding you in arms,
and arms held by air,
I loosened any grip over myself
and slowly surrendered to thyself.
Tears shone in our eyes,
as the stars shone dimly bright.
At last, may be we were happy,
to live a few moments of peace.
A slow time, which almost made up
for the waste of it of a whole life.
And this time, we didnt even need words,
We didnt even need language.
For all was communicated by touch.
A divine feeling.
Finally, a chapter closed by a lesson,
though, for no application ahead,
for no repition to juniors,
but for the peace of the spirits
Who may wander by the graves.
And finally,
Finally, The end was warmly welcomed
and was received with our bodies
blown away in unison,
and our ashes flown away by the fission.
It might mean death,
but it only was life,
however small a length,
but big in the purpose.
